Eat Out - Rose Garden (Chinese and Malaysian Food)

Day 82

It's Saturday again! Today's agenda is to get a haircut and shop!

But before we start the agenda, it is VERY important to fill our stomachs (applicable to Mr Tan only. I can fast so long as there is shopping! haha). We headed to Rose Garden for our lunch. It was crowded and the space is small. We sat at a table for 4 and soon, we had to share the table with another 2 guys. It made Mr Tan uncomfortable immediately.

We ordered Salt and Pepper Chicken with Rice ($8.50), Fried Maryland Chicken with Rice ($8) and 酸辣汤 ($4.50). The servings for rice are HUGE. But the soup serving is pathetic. My rice was almost untouched and I couldn't finish my chicken. Even Mr Tan could not finish his.

When the Salt and Pepper Chicken arrived, the first thing I noticed was that the batter of the chicken did not look as nice as the ones at Dessert House. It looked slightly burnt. Probably the oil was not clean or the chicken was re-fried. Luckily it still tasted good. Crispy, Spicy and Salty. Yum Yum! Mr Tan commented that Fried Maryland Chicken tasted like 烧鸡 and he liked it. But the soup was disappointing. Tasted nothing like 酸辣汤。 Rose Garden has been added to the list of lunch venues but only if I can find a table for 2 so that Mr Tan can eat comfortably.
