Eat Out - Coconut House (Singaporean and Malaysian Hawker Fare)

Day 68

Saturday is always "Eat Out" day. :)

We did not go to the market this morning but headed to meet Sabrina and Shyan for lunch at Coconut House. It is near Queen Victoria Market and business has been so good that they opened a second eatery, named Little Coconut House a few doors away.

Items on the menu are mainly Malaysian and Singaporean cuisine such as Nasi Lemak, Chicken Rice, Wonton Noodles, Prawn Mee, Laksa etc. We ordered the Prawn Noodles ($8.60), Curry Laksa ($8.60), Hot Soya Bean ($2.30) and Teh Tarik ($3.30). I have no idea why they are priced with a 60 cents and 30 cents, why not 50 cents or just round up to a dollar?

Food tasted pretty normal to me but apparently it is the latest "hot place" among Malaysians and Singaporeans and many have raved about the food here. Perhaps we didn't order the 招牌菜,我们的虾面和Laksa没什么特别。 Will we go again? Maybe yes, but only because of the cheap prices and if Sabrina and Shyan want to eat there again.
