Gin's Kitchen - Pan-fried Basa in Soy Sauce

Day 311

I'm not a big fan of fish but have grown to like basa fish ever since coming here. It's easily available at Woolworths and it's cheap. Not sure what type of fish this is but the best thing about it is that it doesn't have a strong fishy smell and taste. I used to deep fry it to make sweet and sour fish fillets but it's troublesome to deep fry food. Pan-fried basa is really easy and I'll definitely be making it more often!

Ingredients
- 1 basa fish fillet
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of water
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- Dash of sesame oil

Directions
1. Heat olive oil in a pan
2. Place basa fish fillet in pan and pan-fry each side for about 3-4 minutes
3. Once fillet has turned white, remove it from pan
4. Wipe the pan clean and heat it over low heat
5. Pour soy sauce, water, sugar and sesame oil into pan and mix them well
6. Taste and season accordingly
7. Pour hot sauce over the fillet and tuck in!
