Time for Translation Classes

Day 46
Today I received a msg from a friend after she had read the blog. She pointed out that the title was not translated correctly..haha..

Extract from the msg "Hey Gin, are you trying to say one step one footprint? should be 一步一脚印 from my understanding."

Hmmm...makes sense.......Thank you Teacher! :)

But one step one footprint doesn't sound personal enough, I did consider using gin's footsteps, gin's footprints but it sounded too mouthful. In the end, I decided to use my footsteps, my footprints! :)

1st trip - Tasmania (4 - 5 Sept)

Day 33
4 - 5 September 2010

Tasmania, here we come!

This is our first trip in Aussie. It is part of a farewell trip for YBC and also a celebration of our fifth month's anniversary. :)
The weather was terrible as it rained and it was freezing cold up on Mount Wellington. Tasmania was kinda B.....oring...the highlight was that I saw snow! little bits of snow, not the powdery and soft kind but hard and wet kind. It was painful when they fell on us! Ouch!

We saw koalas, wombats, tasmania devils and fed kangaroos. We were done by 430pm but our flight was at 1030. Result of not planning before tickets were purchased. Thus, we sat around and drank lots of tea, ate lots of chips and in the end, the flight was delayed by an hour! By the time we reached home, it was almost 1am.

Goodbye Tasmania, i doubt i will see you again....

Saying Goodbye

Day 1
3rd August 2010
So many people came to the airport to see us off. I got a SURPRISE at the airport when Zhi and Meiping gave me the cards and presents! I got 1 from Ning, 1 from Yew Meng and 1 from Zhi, Meiping, Kellyn and Huiling. So touched...really...

We went there early and there was some prob with my Visa as my old passport number was used for the Visa. Luckily it was resolved but we had another problem at the airport..EXCESS luggage!
Total Luggage = near to 90kg
Checked in luggage = 50kg

Paid for excess luggage = 27kg

The remaining? Packed into DHL boxes for shipment

By the time we were done,
it was THE moment. It was time to say goodbye. 姑妈 cried. Ah Jie teared. Xiao Gu teared. Mummy teared. 3rd Aunt teared. Godma teared. I passed my special gift to Zhi and hugged her tightly. Yes, it is only 2 years and I'm sure I will be back for visits but still, I need to hop on a 7-hour flight. I couldn't stop crying.

It is always difficult to say goodbye...even if it's only for a while...

Inspired!

Day 44
I am starting this blog after my twin started hers in Japan. I am inspired by her and thus decided to start one while I am in Aussie too. I miss her and finally we are doing something "together" again!
